My Story

Welcome, my name is John Savage and I am the Owner of Unwind Financial Insurance Services. I first got my start in the insurance industry shortly out of college working as an Associate Negotiator for Provider Networks with a Large Third Party Administrator(TPA). That experience helped me understand the importance of completing paperwork and how when the administrative process is stalled and not managed properly, it can cost clients and their patients time and money, including the lack of of access to adequate healthcare. Later on I became an Life Insurance Agent educating clients on the importance of insurance and how to protect their family against future risk and loss of income.

I later decided to move into the Property and Casualty Industry after realizing the need and my passion for helping businesses and families reduce and mitigate risk as a means of helping them save more money and protect against the risk of uncertainty.

Today, I am fulfilling that vision by launching Unwind Financial Insurance Services which is a unique blend of my skills and experience as a NACCC Certified Financial Health Counselor™️ where I help people identify and overcome financial challenges and my skills as a General Lines Insurance Agent in the state of Texas. I bring a unique perspective and insight to my clients when it comes to accidents and the claims process. I have also run a small business as a Mobile Notary for over 15 years and worked with Accident Injury Slip and Fall attorneys for 9 years providing mobile Intake Services to their clients.

I am on a mission to help over 1000 families a year get insured and properly protected against Fires, Floods, Displacement, Builders Risk, Renter's, and more. In addition, I offer Cyber protection to provide coverage for you and your household both domestic and traveling internationally.
